Dave Johnson, the Wandering Pastor, is a former Pastor, with over 25 years in the ministry. He has been a follower of Jesus Christ since 1981. He is the husband of 28 years to Lori, the father of 6 grown children, grandfather to 5 amazing grandkids.

Dave is a practical, down-to-earth teacher who desires, above all, to glorify God by helping others grow closer to Jesus.

Since 2021, Dave has made short, faith-based videos on his YouTube channel, WanderingPastor7958, grappling with faith and real life issues.

Why ‘Wandering’?

Many have asked about the name of Dave’s blog and videos. What does it mean: Is he ‘wandering’ from the faith?

Not at all.

Honestly, it started out with a backpacking trip to Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains in 2021, where Dave’s son challenged him to start putting feet to his dreams of making a difference for more people. Since he loves the outdoors, it made sense to do these videos while ‘wandering’ the woods. You’ll notice the outdoors a lot in his videos and writing.
